The Corona pandemic has had an enormous negative impact in many areas of the world. Not only the economic branch, but also many other areas of life have clearly been affected by the consequences of the pandemic. Our Buddhist Cultural Centre has also suffered tremendously due to the restrictions. The centre was empty for public visitors for almost 2 years and no cultural events could take place. Fortunately, we were able to get through this difficult time well and, in the meantime, we started to think deeply about how we could promote the expansion of the centre. Our team has been working together, making many changes and gathering new ideas and inspirations for the future of our Buddhist temple, which we now want to turn into reality.

We have worked in close contact with the International Buddhist Institute in Paris, France and finally decided to merge. The Buddhist monks and nuns have already been based in the French capital for several 10 years, teaching the Buddhist religion to Parisians. Buddhist events, meditations (Vipassana) and Buddhist teaching programmes are practiced weekly. We are happy to have this knowledge and experience now also available here in Frankfurt am Main.

An official opening ceremony for our Buddhist temple will take place in October. You are very welcome to attend the ceremony. The exact date, the daily programme and further information are currently being organised by our team and will be published in the next few weeks.
