The Chinese Tipiṭaka enshrines important values equal to those of the Pāli Canon. There are also many discourses in Chinese Buddhist texts which are unknown to the Theravāda traditions. In many texts of the Chinese Canon the emphasis is on the practice of the Bodhisattva path to enlightenment. FBAC encourages the reading and analytical study of Chinese Buddhist Sūtras such as the Sukhāvatī-Vyuha Sūtra, Amitābha Sūtra, Avataṃsaka Sūtra and many others in order to better understand the teachings of Mahāyāna Buddhism and Bodhisattva ideals.
