Mahāyāna Buddhism is largely practiced in China, Korea, Vietnam, Chinese Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore and in many other countries in the world. This tradition of Buddhism mostly encourages followers to learn Pureland (sukhāvati) teachings of Buddhism or popularly known as Amidism. It is important to note that Mahāyāna, or the Great Vehicle, mainly focuses on Bodhisattva vows, embraced by many devotees who are attracted by humanistic approaches of Buddhism.
