ProgramElementary Pāli for Beginners (starting January)

We encourage our devotees, students in Germany as well as overseas to study the sacred language of Buddhism. The courses will be conducted by senior monastic scholars as well as university teachers, enabling students to recite Buddhist Pāli Suttas, to learn Pāli grammar, and to understand the words of the Buddha. You are welcome to enrol as soon as possible with our FBAC secretariat.

The classes will take place every Thursday from 12. January to 17. July 2023.

Central European Time (CET): 5.30 p.m. - 7.00 p.m.

India Standard Time (IST): 10.00 p.m. - 11.30 p.m.

Eastern Standard Time (EST): 11.30 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.

 

All classes will be recorded and available on the platform after the lessons.

 

Lead by Prof. Siddhath Singh (India)

 

Prof. Siddharth Singh is currently a Professor in the Department of Pali and
Buddhist Studies at Banaras Hindu University (B.H.U.), Varanasi, India. He has
been the Director of Vivekananda Indian Cultural Centre, Embassy of India,
Tokyo, where he worked extensively to promote Indian culture in Japan and
strengthen the India-Japan soft-diplomatic relationships. Prof. Singh’s major
interest area is Pali and Sanskrit literature, Indian Buddhism and Applied aspects of
Buddhism like Peace and Conflict Resolution, Dialogue, and Gender issues etc.
